We run a small production shop in Interlochen, Michigan equipped for laser cutting and engraving, CNC routing, and 3D printing. Most of our work is made-to-order consumer goods (signs, game boards, ornaments, home décor), but we also take on contract manufacturing, prototyping, and small-batch production runs for businesses and fellow makers.
If you need parts cut, prototypes printed, or production runs at a scale a hobbyist shop can’t handle, this is the page for you.
What we do
- Custom laser cutting and engraving — wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, paper, coated metals, glass, stone. Monochrome engraving only; we don’t do full-color printing.
- CNC routing and milling — hardwoods, softwoods, plywood, MDF, plastics, soft metals (aluminum, brass). 32″ × 32″ bed.
- FDM 3D printing — functional prototypes, custom plastic parts, jigs and fixtures, enclosures. Up to 300°C hotend for engineering-grade materials.
- Prototype development — bring a sketch, an existing part, or a rough CAD file; we’ll work with you to get it right
- Design assistance — if your file isn’t optimized for the tool, we’ll fix it. No extra charge for simple cleanups.
- Bulk production runs — discounts on 20+ units for most projects. Nesting for efficient material use keeps costs down on larger runs.
What we don’t do yet
We don’t do full-color UV printing, dye-sublimation, or rotogravure. We don’t do injection molding, vacuum forming, or cast urethane. We don’t take on work that requires ITAR compliance, food-safe certification, or production runs over 200 units without a custom quote.
If your project involves any of those, we’ll tell you up front and refer you to someone who can help.
Our equipment
Carbide 3D Shapeoko Pro XXL CNC Router
- Cutting area: 32″ × 32″ × 3.75″
- Best for: Hardwood blanks (including the laminated panels we use for our state-shape cribbage boards), plywood sheets, MDF, plastics, soft metals. Precision work down to about 0.005″.
- Used in our shop for: Cribbage board cutouts (the state-shape mitten and U.P. outlines), game board blanks, custom signage, prototyping, small production runs.

OmTech 50W and 60W CO2 Laser Cutters
- Work area: 20″ × 23.5″
- Best for: Cutting and engraving wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, paper, cardboard. Won’t cut metal.
- Used in our shop for: All of our engraved consumer products (signs, ornaments, game boards, keychains), proof work, and small-batch production cuts.

xTool F1 Ultra Dual Laser Engraver (20W Fiber + 20W Diode)
- Work area: 8.5″ × 8.5″, expandable with conveyor
- Best for: Metal engraving (stainless steel, aluminum, brass, titanium), color engraving on select metals, thin metal cutting, jewelry, small batch personalization, high-detail work on most materials.
- Used in our shop for: Metal tags, knife blades, jewelry, electronics plates, small-format personalization where the CO2 won’t work.

Creality Ender 5 S1 3D Printer
- Build volume: 8.7″ × 8.7″ × 11″
- Best for: Functional prototypes, custom plastic parts, jigs and fixtures, enclosures. Direct drive extrusion, 300°C hotend for engineering filaments (PETG, ABS, nylon).
- Used in our shop for: Prototype development, custom fixtures for production work, small plastic parts runs.

Materials We Work With
- Wood: plywood, hardwood (maple, walnut, cherry, oak, mahogany, hickory, poplar), Baltic birch, cedar, pine, MDF
- Acrylic: clear, colored, cast and extruded
- Leather, fabric, paper, cardboard
- Plastics: ABS, PETG, PLA, and other FDM-compatible filaments
- Metals (engraving only on the CO2): stainless steel, aluminum, brass, titanium, coated steel
- Glass, stone, ceramics (engraving)
- Soft metals (CNC milling): aluminum, brass
Material compatibility varies by machine. We’ll advise on the best tool for your project.
File formats we accept
DXF, SVG, AI, PDF, PNG, JPG for laser and CNC work. STEP/IGES preferred for CNC 3D work. STL/OBJ for 3D printing. If you don’t have a file yet, send us a sketch or a description — we can work from there.
For wholesale and contract work
- Wholesale pricing: Available for resellers on 20+ unit orders. Mention you’re a reseller in your first message and we’ll send the wholesale rate sheet.
- Contract manufacturing: We take on white-label production runs for businesses that need parts made but don’t want to run their own shop. Most contract work is laser cutting/engraving or small CNC runs.
- Lead times for contract work: Depends on scope. Single-job prototypes usually 7–10 business days. Production runs are quoted with the job.
- Quote turnaround: Most quotes come back within 24–48 hours. Complex prototypes or multi-part assemblies may take longer; we’ll tell you upfront.
