The baby’s first Christmas, in 1.5″ of pine.

A 3D wooden block ornament — the kind of toy-block silhouette your baby will be stacking and chewing on in a few years, but make it Christmas. Engraved on multiple sides: a large alphabet-block letter on one face, a Christmas tree on another, a snowflake on top, and the baby’s name, year, and “Baby’s First Christmas 2026” on the others. A colored satin ribbon runs through the top, ready to hang on the tree the night the ornaments come down from the attic.

Made in Michigan. Made to order.

Christmas is coming. The ornament is waiting.

  • Order by December 10 for delivery before Christmas
  • Order by December 18 for delivery before Christmas Eve (rush fee applies)
  • The ornament doesn’t expire. If you miss the season, the next one starts in 11 months.

Pick your personalization:

  • Initial letter (1 letter, A–Z) — large block letter on the front face
  • Baby’s name (1 line, up to ~15 characters) — engraved on a side face
  • Year (4 digits) — engraved on a side face
  • “Baby’s First Christmas [year]” — engraved on the back face (or substitute any short phrase: “First Christmas at Grandma’s,” “Est. 2026,” a family name)
  • Tell us all four in the order notes. We’ll send a proof before we cut anything. Two rounds of revisions included.

Pick your ribbon:

  • Royal blue — the default; classic for a baby boy
  • Pink — the default for a baby girl
  • Other colors available (red, green, silver, gold, white, ivory) — mention your choice in the order notes

Why pine, not hardwood:

  • Pine is the traditional baby-block wood. It’s the wood of the alphabet blocks your parents bought, the wood of the toy box in the living room, the wood that ages into a soft honey color after a decade on a shelf. Hardwood is fancier. Pine is right.
  • Pine takes engraving with a warm, soft look. The grain shows through the text in a way hardwoods don’t. The “K” on the front has a little grain variation in the engraving — that’s the wood, not a defect.
  • Pine is light. The ornament weighs almost nothing, so it doesn’t bend the branch or weigh down the tree skirt.

Why this one over the others:

  • 3D block, not a flat cutout. Most “baby block” ornaments are 2D laser-cut shapes that look like blocks from one angle. This is an actual 3D cube you can hold in your hand, spin, and read from any side.
  • 4 decorated faces, not 1. The alphabet letter, the tree, the snowflake, the name, the year, the “First Christmas” line. The ornament has more text than the comps and more sides to put it on.
  • Colored satin ribbon, your choice. The default is blue or pink to match the baby. Red, green, gold, silver, white, and ivory are all on the menu.
  • Made in Michigan. Same shop, same care, same proof-before-cut process. Two rounds of revisions included.

Best for:

  • A baby shower gift — wrap it with a soft blankie and a “First Christmas 2026” tag
  • A first-Christmas gift from the new grandparents — the one that goes on the tree at their house too
  • A new-parent gift to themselves — the “we made it through the first year” ornament
  • A hospital visit gift — small, light, easy to wrap, doesn’t scream “baby”
  • A keepsake for the baby’s first Christmas (obviously)
  • A twin-set gift — order two with different initials and different ribbon colors

Care: Wipe with a dry cloth. The pine is finished but not waterproof. Store in the ornament box from January to November; the satin ribbon will fade in direct sunlight, so keep the box in a closet, not a window.

A note on the wood: Pine is a soft wood with a strong, warm grain pattern. Each block is a slightly different color and grain — the “K” ornament you get is the “K” ornament you get, no two alike. Over the years, pine darkens to a soft honey color. The ornament your baby gets this year will be a deeper, warmer version of itself when they pull it out of the box at age 18.
